The most objective of the college is to give to younger physicists the main open difficulties in hadronic physics within the confinement zone, and to teach that they're heavily associated with related open difficulties in nuclear physics and condensed topic. New experimental amenities and methods on the topic of the answer of the above challenge are offered.

Lucretius' at the Nature of items - one of many glories of Latin literature - offers a brilliant poetic exposition of the doctrines of the Greek atomist, Epicurus. The poem performed a very important position within the reinvention of technological know-how within the 17th century, its impression at the French Enlightenment was once robust and pervasive, and it turned a big battlefield within the wars of faith with technological know-how in nineteenth-century England.

M. currents (t~rough the rapid motion of the peripheral proton) must evolve into a p-T configuration. Fig. m. current, necessary to couple the electron plasma. 45 To end this discussion I shall now try to give an answer to the question whether a coherent picture of the uncanny phenomena of cold fusion has emerged. I believe that the answer is basically positive. Indeed we have seen that the difficult problem of the strong screening of the Coulomb barrier necessary to enhance the DO-fusion rate by about fifty orders of magnitude, is easily overcome if the plasma of d-electrons is engaged in the coherent plasma-oscillations predicted by "Superradiance".
One can thus explain in a very simple fashion the peculiar T-dependence of A from temperature (Fig. 3) and the behaviour with temperature of tke normal fluid pn/p. 18 K. ; ~ ;: ... ;; :;;_ , ' ~ E- ~ t- . o Ttt I Fig. 3 The T-dependence of the roton minimum 6(T) 1 as obtained from neutron scattering compared with the Superradiance prediction. A more detailed analysis 20 also shows that the notion 4of coherence domain solves another severe problem of superfluid Be phenomenology, namely the two orders of magnitude excess of the calculated critical velocities for the transition superfluid-normal fluid over the experimental one.
2 The dispersion curve of 4 quasiparticle excitations of He as determined from neutron scattering. 4 From now on everything is completely standard. At T·O all atoms of He are engaged in the weakly superradiant process, and by increasing the temperatYff the normal fluid component gets excite4 with a Boltzmann spectrum e, where to the roton minimum A(T) of Fig. 2 one must add the gap 6Ep (T)/p(T), for the extra energy one must provide to subtract an elementafy excitation from the weakly superradiant state turns out to be proportional to the fraction of the superfluid, p8 /p.
